The time to get together with your friends and family to have the best time of the year is here, yes! Diwali is here, and I know you can not contain your excitement. Decorated houses, lots of delicious food, and tons of quality time with the ones you love is something we all look forward to but wait there’s one more thing that is an important part of the festive celebration,
That’s right Diwali Gifts! The receiving of gifts is a vital part of the festivities, and we are all for it, but of course, gift-giving is an annoying process that sometimes requires a lot of effort, especially if it’s left for the last minute. So, what can be done to avoid that tiresome situation? Well, planning of course! So here are some insider tips from my end to help you to pre-plan your Diwali.
Make a Priority-List
Diwali is a time when almost everyone you know is expecting s gift from you, but you can not do that as it will cost a fortune, not to mention you do not like everyone, so it is better that you make a priority list. The first section of the list must include all the special people whom you wanna give the best and well-thought presents, those who are close to your heart and you wish to spend Diwali surrounded by them. Next up, in the second section, you can include those who are close to you but not so much, the medium section of your social group for whom you won’t mind getting a great present. Lastly, in the third section, you can include those for whom getting a gift is a social compulsion, like all the faraway relatives or those who got you a gift and now you have to get them something.
Decide Your Budget
After separating the list, it is better if you decide how much to truly wanna spend on the gifts and allocate each category with its budget, now not to mention that the budget will be in descending order. Based on these budgets, decide what kind of presents you wanna give to people, like for the first ones’ you can make gift hampers that consist of special Diwali Sweets, Diwali Candles and Diyas, Dry fruits, etc. For the second and third types, you can go for normal sweet and chocolate boxes.
Start Early
You must be aware of the fact that the closer we get to the festival the more expensive the market will get, so starting early on with your gifts will save you a lot of money and time. Also starting early can get you a lot of cool offers and things as many brands start Diwali sale at the beginning of the season and they go out real fast and lastly not to mention, buying and distributing gifts at the last minute will be hectic and you can end up leaving some people or giving something you don’t like.
From the Heart
At last, whatever you do, do it from the heart! Diwali is the festival of love and family, and sometimes we have to follow some constructs during the festive season, but it doesn’t mean we can not enjoy it. Spread some smiles and happiness with your great Diwali gifts and make this Diwali a memorable one, Happy Festive Season!
